Where history and philanthropy shape the future
Thanks to the generosity of patriotic individuals, corporations, and foundations, the Fund has contributed more than $5 million to date.
This critical funding supports not only the maintenance of the Rooms but also new acquisitions and educational programs that expand the public's understanding of diplomacy. Numerous works of art and furnishings have been added to the permanent collection in the Rooms.

The Fund restored the magnificent Secretaries of State Terrace. The 7,000-square-foot rooftop offers breathtaking views of the National Mall.

The Fund underwrote a major renovation of the Secretary's Suite. These important
rooms—including the James Monroe Reception Room and the James Madison Dining Room—are where diplomacy happens at the highest levels.
The Fund proudly underwrote a $1 million renovation of the Thomas Jefferson State Reception Room. Acclaimed interior designer Alexa Hampton collaborated on the conservation and restoration of the original design.

Most recently, the Fund underwrote renovations for the John Quincy Adams State Drawing Room, which included repairs to the ceiling, new lighting, and painting. The Fund will also finance comprehensive renovations to the executive dining kitchen on the 8th floor.
